Welcoming three new lab members!
This Fall we are lucky to welcome three new people to our lab!
Emilee Baker (she/her) is a post-doc with a PhD in Inclusive Education. Emilee’s describes her research interests:
“My research broadly encompasses inclusive learning and teaching across higher education and K-12 environments, recognizing the importance of critically reflecting upon disability, gender, sex, race, and additional intersectional identities. Specifically, my work as a graduate student focused on informal learning in nature for neurodivergent, genderqueer youth and my work as a Post Doctoral Associate in the Eddy lab focuses on the experiences of students in Biology Education including learning about gender and sex.”
Joel Schneider (they/them) is a post-doc coming to us after doing work on racial essentalism in biology courses. Joel describes their research interests:
“I'm passionate about the whys behind how smaller-scale interactions impact and interact with broader social structures; and education excites me as an opportunity for liberatory work, a unique space where systems of power, stories of identity, learning, and community all intersect.”
Noah Benscher (he/him) is a new Ph.D. student with a background in agriculture.
What an exciting team!
Check back soon to see their accomplishments!
